Incremental Encoders

A new and unique approach to motion control

Incremental Encoders

In order to support OEMs in their need to maintain a competitive edge we have developed a hall effect sensor dual channel incremental encoder. Hall effect sensing, delivers cost effective reliable feedback whilst minimising size.

The encoder can successfully operate over a wide range of temperatures and can directly drive TTL and CMOS logic.

The encoder offers one or two channels for measuring speed and direction, with 8 pulses per revolution, each sensing a 16-pole-pair rotary magnet.

A 300mm loom is available to link the encoder to a standard 2.54mm pitch 4-way PCB header. For volume production a loom tailored to customer requirements can be supplied.

For use with our ovoid gearbox range there are three different size variants, providing a sandwich mount between our standard single shaft dc motors and gearboxes.
